"It was like watching spiritual multiplication happening right before my eyes!"
It's what we dream of and pray for: seeing our students get the vision to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth - yet watching it happen might still make us misty-eyed.
Karen (Boston University'11), STINTing in the Middle East from 2011-13, had led Jocette to Christ while still a student at BU. Jocette grew in her faith, eventually taking part in a 6-week mission this past summer in Karen's STINT city.
"Dilek," a Middle Eastern student, had sought out Karen, knowing she was a Christian. Reading through the New Testament, Dilek had questions -- questions she boldly asked in a public coffee shop -- questions about Jesus Christ. And in a country where there are only 3,000 Christian nationals, every public conversation about Christ is bold!
Though planning to finish the New Testament, Dilek "jumped the gun." A follow up meeting provided opportunity for Jocette to join Karen and share her testimony with Dilek, resulting in Dilek committing her life to Christ (even sharing this news with the congregation at Karen's church). And there it was -- spiritual multiplication in action!
