“My first year at college, I was really doubting my faith, really doubting if this was something I wanted to pursue.” - Pelumi Botti, Wellesley College
There’s something in the Fall air, and it’s not just the delicious mix of pumpkin spice lattes, warm apple crisp and fallen leaves. It’s the sweet aroma of Christ on the move in the hearts of students in New England and New York.
The Fall semester is Cru’s most strategic time in the academic cycle. The momentum of being back on campus is high and students are eager to land somewhere, and belong. For this reason we use this time to kick-off our campus ministry with ‘Fall Retreat’. Students leave campus for a weekend away to launch forward in their faith, with focused reflection, and build friendships that may last a lifetime. Students return to the collegiate fray spiritually recharged and connected to a gospel-centered community.
In the [2:34min] video above, students Amalia, Sam and Pelumi share some of the challenges they face while on campus and the opportunities Fall Retreat gave them in developing their faith.
