Like giants roused from their fitful summer naps, universities across the nation are up and about.
Bustling with class schedules and dorm move-ins, most every college campus also hosts an Activities Fair, inviting students to check out their extra-curricular opportunities. Savvy groups and clubs vie for the attention of wide-eyed freshmen in particular.
Last week Cru staff Jen and Ross Eggers stepped away from their Harvard/Merrimack College venues to capture this opportunity at Salem State University, hopefully kickstarting a Cru chapter in this historic town.
Our faculty advisor helped clear the path for us to join ranks with the likes of Language Clubs, Justice Issues and a litany of other interests and causes (including one identified by a huge paper maché genitalia - go figure). After helping to set up our table, I perched partway up some stairs to pray and watch the scene unfold.
