Two guys walk into a coffee shop … It’s Thursday, and the barista at Joe’s Coffee has gotten used to these two regulars - a NYU freshman, Isa, fresh from a small island in the Persian Gulf, and David, from a rural Pennsylvania town, now newly planted in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
As the two wedge themselves into a booth, they pick up where they left off the week before, Isa astounded as David unveils a new episode of God’s story and how we each fit into it ...
“I never heard about Jesus until I came to America and met Cru students. I thought you guys were all so crazy to believe in God. Now I think this gospel might be true. I feel I’m standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to take a leap of faith, but I’m afraid. I didn’t know who Jesus was for 22 years. I’m afraid I will go back to my country and realize this isn’t real - like it was a dream or something.” - Sam, UNH
“Stay away from drama … and the college party scene.”
"Your chemo treatments seem to be working."
“I know it sounds cheesy, but I want to spend my life helping people.”

"Now I was 4 hours away in a new place, starting my new life, and I was not prepared for being unknown in an environment that had always been like family to me." - Destiny, Brandeis University
